A native of Portneuf-sur-Mer on the North Shore of Quebec, he started training at the age of 5 and by 12 he was already determined to become the strongest man in the world. In 2022, he achieved this feat by winning the title of IFSA SuperSeries World Champion. He was the Canadian champion of his sport from 1995 to 2004 as well as the North American champion from 2001 to 2002.
