Natif de Portneuf-sur-Mer sur la Côte-Nord du Québec, il a commencé à s’entraîner à l’âge de 5 ans et à 12 ans il était déjà déterminé à devenir l’homme le plus fort du monde. En 2022, il réalisa cet exploit en remportant le titre de champion du monde de la SuperSérie IFSA. Il a été le champion canadien de son sport de 1995 à 2004 ainsi que le champion nord-américain de 2001 à 2002.
